Underwater Photography & Inspiration

Deep Impressions Underwater Art

Whilst underwater, either diving or snorkelling, we take as many photographs as possible. We use these as a reminder of underwater experiences and also as reference points in our paintings.

Our highly detailed underwater paintings can take many weeks to create. A great deal of time is taken to build up the layers on a painting. Using acrylics we construct the background and then painstakingly add all the marine life. We make sure all the creatures are anatomically correct and appropriate for each location. We’ll usually base a painting on a particularly memorable dive site or a special encounter underwater.

‘Absolutely love all their paintings. I brought one at the Dive Show, I was so impressed with all the detail, quality and how beautiful all the paintings are.’
