We’ve been lucky enough to dive with Manta rays in Indonesia, Mexico and Micronesia. They definitely interact with divers and love the bubbles so much they often do a shakey dance in appreciation. Decompressing on the shot line in Socorro, I jumped out of my skin when I turned my head to come eye to massive eye, with a huge manta right over my shoulder. She had come to check us out and stayed with us for twenty magic minutes in the blue.
