We are moving into our very own studio!
The plan: to have an open studio so you can come and visit us!
The timescale: to be open for Easter…….keep you posted!
Benefits to customers: we are moving in with our picture framer (my Brother, Dave) so you can choose your frame at the same time as viewing our latest work and us hard at work ๐ Plus we make great coffee…..Kay ๐
Benefits to us: we can spread out, chat a lot, paint on much bigger canvases (Kim) and Mike gets his boat back which has been overtaken by a mountain of painting paraphernalia. ๐
Location: the Western Hangar at Mount Batten, Plymouth with our own door out onto the slip road.
Combine a visit with:
– a walk up to the Mount Batten tower with 360 degree views over Plymouth Sound,
– watch the boats and enjoy sea life spotting at the end of the pier
– enjoy a swim off Mount Batten beach at high tide – summer recommended
– book some canoeing or paddle boarding at the Mount Batten water sports centre next door.
Most importantly: Indulge yourself with a lunch at the Galley Cafe, dine at the Bridge restaurant or pub lunch at the Clovelly Bay Inn. We are partial to a pint at the Boringdon Arms in Turnchapel village. ๐
Links: use the free parking in two large car parks at Mount Batten, catch the water taxi from the historic Barbican direct to Mount Batten before popping in to the studio or even get a direct bus from the city centre (a number 2B).
Work to be done: a lot, setting the studio up for our different areas. We will keep you updated on how the refurbishment is coming along and donโt forget to sign up for our newsletter/mailing list.
New future address: Deep Impressions in Shoreline Studio, Unit 3/4 Western Hangar, Lawrence Road, Mount Batten, Plymouth, Devon PL9 9SJ.
So, to work. Now whereโs that Brother of mine?
